About MacMan Club: A Journey from Passion to Expertise
Greetings! I'm Kim Romanov, the founder of MacMan Club, and I'm excited to share my journey into the world of technology and how it has led to the creation of this thriving hub for MacBook enthusiasts.
2000 - 2007
Early Days in IT:
From a young age, my fascination with computers sparked. I delved into the world of IT in 2000, navigating Windows systems from the 80486 processor to the Intel Pentium 2, and later, AMD-based PCs. My curiosity led me through various operating systems, from Windows and Linux to the enchanting realm of MacOS X.
2007 - 2008
Encounter with Macs:
In 2007, my professional journey introduced me to Apple's Mac Pro computers, a moment that left me captivated by their power and elegance. Eager to dive into the world of MacOS, I embarked on the challenge of installing Hackintosh on my personal laptop, marking the beginning of my fascination with Apple's operating systems.
2008 - 2010
Transition to Mac Administration:
Fast forward to 2008, and I found myself managing a fleet of Mac Pro computers as a system administrator. This experience fueled my desire to explore the intricacies of MacOS further. By 2010, I had ventured into self-employment, dealing with second-hand Apple devices and immersing myself in the world of iOS.
2012 - 2013
Entry into Apple's Realm:
The turning point came in 2012 when I joined a project funded by Apple through ERC, a valued Apple Distributor in Ukraine. My in-depth knowledge of Apple products and technical expertise paved the way for my role in managing Mac Pro computers and undergoing specialized Apple training, earning me the Apple Sales Professional status.
2013 - 2014
MacMan Club foundation:
Despite a setback in 2013 due to project closure, I decided to channel my expertise into opening an Apple repair center in Zhytomyr. With a team of highly skilled engineers, we tackled complex repairs that others deemed impossible. Our commitment to quality and customer comfort made us stand out, earning us the reputation of being the "Mercedes in the tech repair world."
2014 - 2015
Expansion and Recognition:
The success of our repair center led to the opening of additional service centers in Lutsk and Kyiv in 2015. I also obtained theCertified Macintosh Technicianstatus, further solidifying our expertise in Apple device repairs.
2016 - 2019
Evolution into MacBook Sales:
In 2016, recognizing the reliability of certain MacBook Pro models, I ventured into selling refurbished MacBooks in Ukraine. The demand grew, and by 2019, MacMan Club had become synonymous with top-quality MacBook sales and repairs.
2023 - 2024
The Canadian Chapter:
In pursuit of new horizons, I am thrilled to introduce MacMan Club in Canada. Now residing here with my family, I bring the same passion, expertise, and commitment to providing the best-refurbished MacBooks to the Canadian market.
